Be a Man Mcbeth

1.
Lady Macbeth
Act 1 scene 5 line 47
Quote:"come, you spirits that that tend on mortal thoughts, unsex me here, and fill me from crown to the toe top-full of direst druelty." In this quote lady Macbeth is talking about how she wants to be a man not like Macbeth in this situation. Macbeth is being a coward and not doing what he needs to do so she wishes she could. She is hoping to be a man so she could have the courage and cruelty to do what he could not.

2.
Malcolm
Act 4 scene 3 line 252-254
Quote:"Let’s make us medicines of our great revenge to cure this deadly grief". In this quote Ross is telling Macduff that his family has been killed and Malcolm tells Macduff to take it like a man and turn the sorrow into rage and anger towards Macbeth so that he will fight back and make him pay.

3.
Macbeth
Act 5 scene 8 lines 1-5
Quote:"Why should I play the Roman fool and die On mine own sword? Whiles I see lives, the gashes Do better upon them"Macbeth is trying to say that he would rather stay alive and fend off his enemies instead of taking the stupid roman way of killing himself with his own sword and that if his enemies are still alive he would like to remain alive and fight. This quote shows his manliness with the fact that Macbeth would rather fight like a man against his enemy instead of taking the cowards way out by taking his own life away by committing suicide.

4.
Macbeth sayton
Act 5 scene 3 line 38
Quote:"I will fight from my bones my flesh be hacked. Give me my armor"-Macbeth
"Tis not needed sir"-Sayton. In This quote Macbeth knows that to serve his kingdom right he has to be a man and fight. Sayton tells him not to but he ignores him and goes and fights anyway. He does this because he know that it is cowardly to run away from a fight.

5
Act 4 scene 3 lines 67-69
Malcolm and macduff
Quote:"Not in the legions of horrid hell can come a devil more damned in evils to top macbeth"
When malcolm and macduff are talking about how bad of a person that macbeth can be, macduff says the he is even more worse than the devil. This quote shows alot of manliness because men are supposed to be fearless and merceless and that is what macbeth is showing in this quote.

Odysees theme

The theme that occurs most often in the books is value what you have, stay loyal, and trust other people. This occurs many times throught the book for example in book 11 when Achilles travels to the land of the dead and draws the spirits using blood. In that book odyeseus realizes that being on earth is much  better tha in the land of the dead. In lines 556-558 Achilles says I'd rather slave on earth for another man some dirt poor tenant farmer who scrapes to keep alive than rule down here over all the breathless dead. That quote illustrates how odyeseeus values his life on earth. He said that he would rather be a slave to a nobody than live down here. So he values his life that he has right now and what he had before was better than anything down their. So he values what he has.
In book 16 their is also a part in which my theme is in action. As telemachus goes to fumeaus barn and sees a stranger he does not realize that that is his father odyseeus. And the he soon discovers that it is his father he quickly begins to create a plan to kill the suitors. Odyeseeus then tells telemachus that that is not the plan. Telemachus does not trust odyseeus new plan. As in lines 270-300on page 346-347 telemachus first doughts his plan and says "but what you have just said dumbfounds me". So as you can see he does not trust his plan. On line 298 Odyseeus says "trust me" the narrator then says "his seasoned father reassured him". So telemachus then shows trust in other people. Even though you may not think they are right still trust them.

In book 21 a theme is also put to use. As odyeseeus comes back to ithaca to reclaim his reign as king the suitors are they and they have betrayed him. They are their trying to string the bow and then odyessues comes out and strings the bow and shoots it thru all the little holes and kills all the suitros. In line 475-480 on page 438 odyeseeus says "my strenghts not broken yet not quite as frail as the mocking suitors thought. So as you can see odyeseeus killied those men because they doubted hime and did not stay loyal to him as king.
